To liberate podcasts from the German ARD Sounds app, use this neat open-source tool by Sebastian Cohnen (tisba): https://ardsounds.tisba.de

I came across this on Mastodon, heard about it again in the Wochendämmerung podcast, and used it to subscribe to the Kult! podcast (German audio books of classical literature) upon a recommendation by blumenstrasse who plugged the The War of the Worlds audio book.
